AutoHockey: Robot Air Hockey (Unofficial Video)

AutoHockey: Robot Air Hockey (Unofficial Video) Tube. Duration : 3.03 Mins.

This is the 'unofficial' video of the AutoHockey system from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. AutoHockey was developed as part of a final-year undergraduate thesis project. Six students in the double-Bachelor degree program BEng (Robotics and Mechatronics) / BSc (Computer Science and Software Engineering) developed the product from concept to completion over the course of the 2009 academic year. The product provides a mechanised opponent for a human in the arcade game of air hockey. The mechanised opponent can be computer-controlled (ie autonomous mode) or human-controlled (ie by another human with an Xbox 360 controller). The product exploits technologies in the following fields of engineering: image processing, pneumatics, electronics, mechanics and real-time software systems. Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio was chosen as the application development platform.
